Welcome to our new community articles feature!

Our team has worked laboriously the past few weeks to deliver what we feel is a unique and valuable resource for elder care.  But what exactly are community articles?  Quite simply, they are articles that you, as a member of CareMinds, wish to share with our community.  Other website provide topical articles and stories, but we're the only elder care website that solicits and features your articles!

Why do we think this is valuable?  Well, elder care is more of an art than a science.  If you have faced the need to provide for a parent, grandparent, or friend with failing health or progressive forgetfulness, you know that the challenges you face are multi-faceted, highly emotional and, most importantly, unique.  A lot of the valuable information you receive are from people that are either experts or have gone through similar challenges.  Our community articles feature allows these stories and experiences to be shared with a much broader audience.

What we need to recognize is that we are not alone.  Today there are close to 50 million people in the US that are in one way or another involved in the care of a senior.  There is a wealth of experiences, insights and wisdom waiting to be unlocked and shared.

The goal of CareMinds is to educate, inform and help you navigate the care of the senior.  With our new community articles feature, you're given the opportunity to educate, inform and help each other navigate the challenges and blessings of being a caregiver.  CareMinds is a community driven site.  The articles you read are the articles written by your fellow CareMinds members, as are the blogs and the reviews of service providers.  In internet jargon, welcome to the world of Web 2.0!

Ultimately, we built CareMinds to be your site.  Submit articles, tell us about your blog, review an elder care provider, share the life stories of the people who have shaped your life.  Most importantly, let's work together to improve the quality of life for those who have spent a lifetime caring for us.
