Travel Companion Service

Elder care for seniors is rapidly becoming a focus of not only seniors themselves, but also of the friends and relatives taking the responsibility for providing loved ones with comfort and peace-of-mind in their golden years.  Many of those so concerned with seniors have been faced with situations where freedom continues to be sought, but some degree of assistance may be needed.

Imagine the possible kitchen table discussions,

  • Senior wishing to travel, e.g., European tour vacation, cruise --- but not wanting to travel alone and wanting to have relaxed confidence throughout the trip

  • A senior longing to see his/her homeland once again and visit family and/or friends living abroad --- or wishing to fulfill a lifelong dream to visit Paris, Rome, London.

  • An elderly person anxious to visit family and grandchildren, but uncomfortable flying and navigating though airport terminals --- domestic or international

  • An elderly couple wanting to spend the winter in FL and summer at their permanent home in the Midwest or the upper east coast --- what if someone were available to drive them both ways during the year.

  • A group of seniors wanting to visit Africa, Peru, Alaska, et al, but wishing the group had a group leader to “run interference” during the trip --- deal with hotel check-ins, airport terminals, airline transfers, excursion guides, cruise directors --- act as a group spokesperson and advocate.

  • Someone wanting to visit a foreign country for medical reasons, immigration reasons, etc. --- but having no available travel companion to act in a supportive role.

  • A senior who “has a wish” to see an international event, e.g., sporting event, harvest festival, etc. --- and has no companion with whom to share the moment.

  • A first time senior flyer seeking a reassuring hand.

The possible personal (and business) situations for a senior to seek out a travel companion are, I would imagine, limitless --- family, reminiscing, dream come true.

Seniors have such service providers available today --- domestically and internationally; elder care providers who are willing and confident travel companions.  Seniors wishing to travel can do so with peace-of-mind and assurance that assistance is available by virtue of a travel companion.
